The rejection of all logic and facts that do not support a predetermined conclusion. To cherry pick information. The opposite of Occam's (or Ockham's) razor. Someone who ignores opposing hypothesis, or viewpoints. Self sustaining ignorance.

They used the obdicut method of research and shoved their heads in the sand.
